Safety First: Our New Driver Verification Process

At Oya Riyders, your safety is our utmost priority. We are continuously looking for ways to improve our platform and ensure that every ride you take is secure and comfortable.

Today, we are rolling out a comprehensive enhancement to our driver verification process across Abuja.

What's Changing?

• Biometric Verification: Drivers are now required to periodically verify their identity using facial recognition before accepting rides.
• Enhanced Background Checks: We have partnered with top security agencies to conduct deeper and more frequent background screenings.
• Real-time Document Validation: Driver licenses and vehicle registrations are now scanned and verified in real-time.

These steps ensure that the person behind the wheel is exactly who the app says they are. We remain committed to setting the standard for ride-hailing safety in Nigeria.
