Fare Calculation
Oya Riyders fares are calculated transparently based on the following components:
- Base Fare: ₦200 — charged at the start of every trip
- Per Kilometre: ₦85/km
- Per Minute: ₦15/min (applies during the trip)
- Booking Fee: ₦50 — platform service charge
- Surge Multiplier: Applied during peak demand periods
Example Calculation
A 10km trip taking 20 minutes with no surge:
₦200 (base) + (₦85 × 10km) + (₦15 × 20min) + ₦50 (booking) = ₦1,400
Note: The exact fare is shown before you confirm your ride. You won't be charged more than what was displayed unless you change your destination mid-trip.
